6th Workshop Molecular Interactions
From Omics To Systems
Berlin, 15. - 17. September 2010

Invitation

The aim of the annual “Molecular Interactions” workshop is to give an overview about state-of-the-art methods and techniques in the life sciences. We are inviting [internationally] renowned scientists to report on the most current and up-to-date developments within their specific areas of research. In particular within “omics” research, the development and use of modern technologies that require a high degree of specialist knowledge is of high prominence. We believe that the transfer of knowledge and know-how is essential for a fruitful and successful future of functional genome research.

In 2005, we started our series of “Molecular Interactions” workshops which focus on research technologies and methods. Our main motivation is to inform early career scientists about the newest research trends, technology developments and analytical approaches with a hands-on focus, and to share our enthusiasm for state-of-the-art science and technology. In addition, we would like to provide a platform for junior researchers to network and get in contact with experts from academic research institutions and industry. Our workshop is organised by scientists from universities and other research institutions in Germany, and has been growing continuously over the years.

This year, “Molecular Interactions” will celebrate its fifth anniversary. We are happy to note that we have increasing numbers of international participants both as speakers and within our audience. To enhance our visibility, we are introducing the publication of a “Molecular Interactions” abstract book this year. Last year’s “Molecular Interactions” focussed on systems biology. This year, we would like to add a new aspect: synthetic biology.
